- Bags and boxes should be held upright, steady and level to avoid decorations from falling off, or a cupcake from toppling over.
- If you are travelling with the cake please place cake boxes onto a level, non-slip surface and try to avoid bumpy roads if possible. The best place to keep your cake is on the floor of the passenger side with the A/C directed on it.
- Never leave cakes/cupcakes out in direct sunlight - they WILL melt, become unstable, and result in a sad-looking cake. :(
Cake Serving:
- If you're not serving right away please keep your cakes refrigerated in the meantime.
- For bigger cakes we recommend letting it sit out at room temperature for 30 to 60 minutes; Lunch box cakes: 20 minutes.
- If frosting seems crumbly or hard in texture, the cake is still too cold. Allow cake to rest at room temperature a little longer.
- Please remove any inedible decorations like flowers or candles before cutting. Please note that some cakes do have skewers and other forms of support so please be careful.
How should I store leftovers?
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container either in the refrigerator or freezer to maintain maximum moisture and freshness. For taller cakes, we recommend storing leftovers on the more stable side down to prevent toppling over.
- Our cakes are best served on the day of pick up but taste just as good the next day.
- If you would like to consume at a later date, you may also refrigerate cakes up to 5 days unless the cake has fresh fruit which needs to be consumed within 2 days.
